Game Play for the Future: Project Natal XBox 360
Project Natal, which is the working name for Microsoft’s latest technological advancement, has already set the gaming industry abuzz with excitement and anticipation that is palpable.
This year, Microsoft revealed the exciting new addition to the Xbox 360, a motion-sensory system that promises to be more impressive than Nintendo’s Wii. This is hard to believe, considering Wii is the world’s best selling console, something it achieved relatively quickly. Nevertheless, participants of the Tokyo Game Show and E3, claim that the graphics, gameplay, response and fun of playing Natal XBox 360 is sure to knock Nintendo’s socks off.
Natal, which will be re-named before its launch, has already impressed industry professionals at the Tokyo Game Show and E3 in Los Angeles this year. So far, working demonstrations of the system have included a ball bouncing game in which players must deflect red balls off any part of their body and a XBox 360 Natal version of Burnout Paradise, which is played without the use of a controller.
Unsurprisingly, there has been a great deal of interest in the system from game developers, many of whom have been announced as collaborators by Microsoft, such as Sega, Konami, EA, Disney and Capcom to name but a few.
It cannot be denied, a system that has whole body interface, facial recognition, voice recognition and expression interface technology opens numerous doors for game designers. Ideas that would have previously been the stuff of dreams are now made possible by the motion-sensory technology of Microsoft.
Additionally, it is believed that Project Natal will attract a completely new fan base to gaming, because the controller is made conspicuous by its absence. Steven Spielberg, a public supporter of Natal, explains that technophobes will be attracted to the system for its ease and lack of complex controls. Again, this is an exciting opportunity for developers to create games that would not perhaps appeal to the usual gamer. What’s more, they can pitch their software to a whole new audience. Exciting times are afoot in the world of gaming!
One thing is for sure, Natal XBox 360 has already altered the way that developers approach creating games and when it is eventually released (sometime between the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011) it will advance gamers expectations too.
Skype Beats Landline?
There are many options out there now for people that are unwilling to pay for the huge telephone and mobile bills that they seem to be getting from the massive corporate companies who are certainly charging a lot of money for things like fax to email services and 0800 numbers.
Smaller Companies
Well one of the best roads to go down is to go with a smaller company. Just because you wont have heard of these companies it does not mean that they are not any good. They can often be a lot cheaper than the massive companies and will not try and take advantage of you in any way.
Surely talking is all you need to do?
Games Consoles
It does seem like an option that is a bit out there but it is a really good way to keep in contact with the people you know. Using Xbox live is actually a great way to talk to yoru best mates as it is very cheap for the year and will certainly save you money. All its costs for the live service is £40 a year which is a complete bargain. The great thing is that you just need to plug your headset in and you can talk with up to 8 people at the same time. Although it does like a bit of a geeky way of doing things it will certainly save you hundreds of pounds if not thousands throughout your lifetime.
Skype
Skype is still a big service that not too many people are using is but if your not you are missing out on something huge. The really useful thing about this tool is that you can make free calls to anyone else wo has Skype. On top of this you can have video chat with people and instant message them for no extra costs, so for free. On top of this you can call people without Skype for a very cheap price.
In the end it is up to you, get one of those premium rate phone numbers or look into getting Skype for free!
These Games You Must Get In (2)
This is the finak part on those games that you simply must get next year.
Halo Reach
This game has got to be better than Halo 3: ODST as that was actually a very disappointing game indeed. This game ia actually going to be the last that Bungie make, Halo related anyway, as they have left Microsoft. However the rights of Halo still lie with Microsoft and they have created 343 Industries to handle future Halo projects. If any fans have read the Halo Reach book then it will no doubt be set around these events and I am thinking it is going to feature more of a squad type game play but this hasn’t been confirmed by Microsoft as of yet.
Final Fantasy XIV
These games have been going for many years now and you would have thought that it has to be over soon. The game itself is of course coming out for the first time on a Microsoft platform which is something that Sony fans are not happy about at all. Apprently the battle and job systems have changed a lot since the previous instalment by putting in the new armoury system. The 360 launch is going to be a bit later than the others but it is certainly going to be well worth the wait.
These are just some of the many games that are actually due out in the New Year. Toys and games are becoming really important every single year and many people are mistaken when they call video games boys toys. One of the best things you can do is actually sit down and find a toy review before you go out and buy something.
So there you have it, you can decide on what to get at the end of the day but make sure that when you do decide that you choose the right game.
Xbox Games You Need To Have This Year (Part 2)
So continuing the list of the apparent boys toys that are video games that you have to have on your Xbox 360 this side of Christmas.
Dragon Age Origins
This game came out and not too many people were aware of it because they just didnt know enough about it. There has not been enough press around this game. The game itself is made by Bioware who are of course the people behind Mass Effect. This is their brand new game and they have spent a very long time actually thinking out this idea. This game is going to take up to 150 hours to complete and this is without the DLC added on top of it but the only problem is the graphics are quite poor. A good game though.
Left 4 Dead 2
This game seemed to anger a lot of people as it only took a year to make which is a lot less than it takes to make most games. Who ever said a decent game took around 2-3 years to make? The new instalment has improved graphics, improved weapons, and sadly, improved zombies! Something that has been added to this game is levels in the middle of the day which are actually really good and there is nothing better than hitting a zombie in the head with a frying pan.
So there is part two of the list there are still one more part on the way revealing yet more games you need to have as well as telling you on the games you have to look out for next year. Toys and games seem to be getting more popular so before you buy why not look out for toy review. There it is really.Decide for yourself!
