I know that leveling a character can be a pain. Especially if you have leveled a few chars to level 80 already and know all the areas inside out. You know that you won’t encounter anything new. Leveling becomes a job.

You want to get it over with so you can finally play with your friends and guild mates – and I want to help you to get to the sweet endgame content as fast as possible!

Here are my top tips for increasing your leveling speed:

First of all you should say ByeBye to grinding. Grinding is a thing of the past. The days of grinding are over. In case you might wonder why there are some many people still talking about grinding: In the past it was a viable way of gathering experience. But for some time now, quests give much more experience and are much more efficient than killing mobs all over.

The second advice of my mage leveling guide is this one: Get a leveling talent build that really suits your playing style. I know that often we want to play with the most efficient build even if we don’t like it. But if you feel uncomfortable with your strategy and thus make a lot of mistakes, do you think you can really level any faster?

If you prefer a leveling build that is easy to play, I suggest you go with the Fire spec. You might level a little bit slower than with a frost spec, but the Fire build doesn’t require lots of concentration.

If you want to be a pro, choose the Frost leveling build. There is no faster way to level than the Mage’s Frost AoE strategy to kill a lot of mobs at once. Click here for more information on great Frost mage builds.

Do quests instead of grinding and choose your favorite talent build and you will increase your levelind speed instantly!
