Mage Leveling Guide – Why You Don’t Level As Fast As You Want

If you’re reading this, your’re probably looking for a way to level your mage toon quicker. This mage leveling guide will show you the secret to ultra fast leveling.

Have you been through tons of talent builds and glyph configs to try to squeeze out a little bit more leveling speed?

It’s true that good builds help you level faster and you really should use a decent build and master it. If you tweak your build, glyphs and equip, think of it as tweaking the engine of a car.

If you tweak a weak engine that runs slowly, you get a slight increase in speed, but because the potential isn’t there, you won’t get a very impressive result.

But if you tweak a sports engine car and get just a little bit more of its potential to come out, just slight incremental increases can take you very far.

So the question is, how do you switch from a weak engine to a powerful one?

Please read on to find out why.

World of WarCraft was designed to give you the maximum XP for doing one thing and one thing only: Going through the adventure the game offers you in a natural way. The developers don’t want you to grind the same mob over and over and over. They are game developers, craftsmen of fun.

So what should you do instead?

Right, doing the quests, duh! In general, questing give you the most XP for your time. But… and this is a big but… there are exceptions.

And here’s where the most powerful tweaking comes in.

Throughout the game you often come across a quest that sounds really good and epic. After you put in all that effort, time and energy you return, looking forward to the big reward for you to reap .. and … nothing. A few meager xp and a crappy item you can’t even sell in the auction house.

That my friend, is a junk quest.

The sole reason why leveling to 80 takes so much time.

If it wasn’t for junk quests, you could literally ding 80 in under a week’s time.

Fortunately, if you’re looking for a good mage leveling guide, many good players already did most of the hard work for you.

The inferior ones come in the shape of online articles you have to print out or constantly switch back and forth between the game and the guide, reading up what comes next and so on.

They give you a good questing path but they don’t save you time. The interrupt the flow of the game which is very annoying.

There are also in-game addons that work as a mage leveling guide. Those display an arrow and tell you exactly what to do next, cutting right through all the noise and distractions inside the game. Follow the arrow for a week and you have your level 80 mage.
