This fact isn’t going to be new to you if you plated WOW for any length of time: gold is important in WOW. It’s necessary to have gold if you want to get stuff like weapons, armor and various other equipment for your character. This is why I am sure that as a World of Warcraft: the Wrath of the Lich King player you will appreciate these tips to earn more gold in the game.

First thing is first: buying gold from shady websites is strictly against the WOW terms of service and it WILL get you banned. I bet you didn’t know that quite a few of the people who did end up buying gold from these shady sites ended up with their accounts hacked by the same people they purchased the gold from. Trust me: it’s just not worth it.

So, now that we dealt with the wrong way to make money, let’s deal with the right ways to do it.

Method number 1: chose a gathering profession for your character. There is a big room for profits when you opt to get one of these professions for your character.

One example is mining. The miners mine the raw materials that the blacksmiths and engineers of the game use to create armors and weapons. Iron and mithril can be had at the Arathi Highlands. Is it thorium and Arcane that your heart desires? Then why not go to Eastern Plaguelands and the Burning Steppes?

Skinning is another profession that can make you plenty of dough. Get to the Stranglethorn Vale and kill creatures and do quests. You will end up with lot’s of skins.

Fishing is also a great profession for those wanting to earn a nice sum of gold. The real gold is made by going for the pearls. 10 gold is what you are going to get for a stack of black pearls. 30 gold is what you are going to get for one golden pearl.

Another great profession is herbalism. If you want to earn the big cash, go for plagueblooms in the Eastern and Western Plaguelands. Ghost mushrooms, which can be found in the Hinterlands, are also great for making a lot of gold.

Don’t forget that you can also mix your gathering profession with a service profession. You will be able to craft the raw materials that you gather into all kinds of items.

One great mix is herbalism and alchemy. It’s simple: you use herbalism to collect the herbs, and you use alchemy to create potions out of them.

You can also try combining skinning and leatherworking together. Skinning will provide you with the raw materials you need to make the armor with the leatherworking profession. Lot’s of gold can be saved by going that route. You can also earn a nice sum of gold by selling the stuff that you make.

As you can see, buying gold from websites is unnecessary. By mastering the right professions you can start making gold in no time.
