The game will always warn you against playing as a warrior class because they depend on their gear so much.But this can also not be so bad because the warrior’s choice of gear is also very vast and you can have some fun suiting him/her to your needs.They can only tolerate weapons as long as it isn’t a wand or relic and also they are the only class along with Paladins that can plate up after leveling to 40.Having plate on a warrior makes them look fierce and also adds to their powerful armor. .
Because their ability for withstanding and inflicting great damage is so strong, warrior are called ‘tanks’.The term ‘tank’ is used because in combat the warrior is the character that gives and receives the most damage and a one of the most vital characters to have on board.There will rarely be runs or raids carried out without a tank and the warrior is definitely the best choice of tank.Other classes may take on this role but are usually not as effective.
The talents of the warrior, like all other classes are grouped into trees.Designing the warrior class in one of the following ways depends on which talent tree you choose:
As Arms Warrior this tree allows you to have many abilities for both offense and defense.The double-handed weapons are best for the warrior as they deal the most damage to any enemy, also if combined with the ‘Mortal Strike’ ability you will get extra bursts of energy within combat.
As Fury a Warrior this is where you will have the best choice for leveling very quickly in World of Warcraft.These will use two handed weaponry and if you combine it with a talent called ‘Flurry’ you can even win a fight with one move.Playing Rogue is an amazing decision to make, it gives you very similar stats and weapon capabilities as any other warrior but it also allows you to use Plate armor which is the best kind of Armor I know of in Warcraft.
Protection Warriors have specialization for both offensive & defensive fighting/combat, they are highly effective in group, raiding & instance runs.Warriors like this will undoubtedly last longer in combat owing to the fact they rely on strong armor and advanced sword fighting skills which will also make them perfect Tanks to go on a raid with.
Whatever type of trees you build on, specific talents and abilities will have limits in access due to the stance a warrior takes.They are: Battle Stance (Normal), Defensive Stance (Protection), and Berserker Stance (Fury).Every stance will be geared toward the specialization you selected i.e. Berserker Stance for Fury Warriors and Defensive Stance for Protection Warrior (Tanks). .
